You do not necessarily need to create viral content yourself. TikTok's affiliate programme lets creators promote your products for a commission. This can be more cost-effective and scalable than trying to become a content creator when your strength is commerce operations.
Practical Considerations
TikTok Shop's fees are currently lower than Amazon and Etsy, making margins more attractive. However, average order values tend to be lower as buyers are more impulse-driven. Factor this into your pricing and product selection strategy.
Fulfilment speed matters — TikTok tracks dispatch times and late shipments affect your seller rating. Make sure your fulfilment workflow can handle TikTok orders alongside your other platforms before committing to high volumes.
