If you're selling your own branded products on Amazon and you don't have Brand Registry, you're leaving money and protection on the table.
What Brand Registry Gives You
- A+ Content: Enhanced product descriptions with images, comparison charts, and brand storytelling. Typically increases conversion by 5–15%.
- Brand Analytics: Search frequency data, market basket analysis, repeat purchase behaviour, and demographics.
- Listing control: Other sellers can't modify your product listings without your approval.
- Sponsored Brands ads: Banner ads with your logo that appear at the top of search results.
- Brand Store: A free, customisable storefront on Amazon showcasing your full product range.
- Project Zero: Proactive counterfeit removal tools.
Requirements
- Active registered trademark: You need a trademark registered with the UK IPO (or other recognised trademark office). Pending applications work in some cases.
- Brand name on products: Your trademarked brand name must appear on your products or packaging.
- Amazon account: You need an active Amazon seller account.
The Process
- Register your trademark (if you haven't already — takes 4–6 months via UK IPO)
- Go to brandregistry.amazon.co.uk and apply
- Amazon will send a verification code to the contact on your trademark registration
- Enter the code and you're approved (usually within 2 weeks)
